Board-certified plastic surgeon Keith S. Berman, MD, has owned and operated a fully accredited surgery facility in Staten Island since 1998. In this capacity, Dr. Keith Berman offers a number of services to patients, including fillers such as Botox and Restylane. Botox injections can address a number of physical concerns, such as facial wrinkles and age-related lines. While Botox is often viewed as a cosmetic procedure, studies have shown that injections can also reduce the frequency and intensity of chronic migraine headaches, a condition defined by headaches occurring at least 15 days per month. The Food and Drug Administration first announced Botox as a treatment for chronic migraines, which impact more than 3.2 million Americans every year, in 2010. Botox injections function as a preventive measure against chronic migraines, though it can take some time for treatments to take full effect. Surgeons generally make injections in and around the pain fibers most associated with headaches. Over time, Botox begins disrupting the flow of neurotransmitters along these pain pathways, preventing the headaches from developing before individuals begin suffering from the painful symptoms. In most cases, the full benefits of Botox injections can be felt within six months of the start of treatment.

Thank you for mentioning that Botox injections may treat a variety of physical issues, including wrinkles on the face and lines brought on by aging. My aunt gripes about how noticeable her wrinkles are. I'll suggest that she have Botox.
