About Dr. Keith Berman
A physician with 20 years of experience and training, plastic surgeon Keith S. Berman, MD, offers effective and consistent results for patients throughout New York City. Studying at the School of Arts and Sciences at Tulane University, Dr. Berman earned a Bachelor of Science in 1985 and fulfilled a Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University for one year. Dr. Berman then studied medicine at The State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn (SUNY Downstate) and earned his doctorate in 1991.
Following his education at SUNY Downstate, Dr. Keith Berman trained for seven years, and he spent the first five as a General Surgery Resident at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan. In 1996, Dr. Berman joined the staff of the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester as a Plastic Surgery Resident. After completing his training in 1998, Dr. Berman returned to the staff as St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center as a surgeon in the plastic surgery clinic, evaluating patients prior to conducting cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in an outpatient setting. In addition to serving on the staff of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, Dr. Keith Berman runs a private practice in New York City, which he established in 1998. Currently, Dr. Berman manages an office in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and a Class C American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc., ambulatory surgery center on Staten Island. Dr. Berman also provides independent medical examinations for injured disability and liability claimants on a variety of surgical subjects, from burns to scars. Licensed to practice medicine in New York State, Dr. Berman possesses a board certification from The American Board of Plastic Surgeons and memberships in the American Medical Association and American Society of Plastic Surgeons. |
